Swalwell is one of many men in politics and entertainment who’ve forced me to pray my husband away.
Recently, Swalwell stated that his extramarital affairs are a private matter between him and his wife. However, I strongly disagree.
When an alleged victim or a woman claiming an affair makes a public statement, the allegations become a matter of public concern, involving not just the politician and their spouse, but also the American people.
Both parties immediately denounced Swalwell after the accusers came forward, which is political protocol. Yet, one must ask: was this just political theater, or will Swalwell be held legally accountable? Too often, others have escaped statutory consequences.
If Swalwell’s fate is to retreat into a private club and a cache of booze, reportedly paid for by his abandoned gubernatorial campaign money, the future marriage rate will be lower than the current one, because more women who are intentional about their identities and the men they allow into their lives may likewise feel compelled to pray their husbands away.
