Rep. Eric Swalwell, a husband, father, and politician, has abandoned his gubernatorial campaign and is resigning from Congress following allegations of sexual misconduct.

Swalwell is among many men in politics and entertainment who’ve forced me to pray my husband away.

Recently, Swalwell stated that his extramarital affairs are a private matter between him and his wife. However, I strongly disagree with this perspective.

When an alleged victim or a woman claiming an affair with a politician comes forward, the allegations become a matter of public concern, involving not just the politician and their spouse, but also the American people.

Both parties swiftly denounced Swalwell after the accusers came forward, which is expected protocol. Yet, one must ask: was this just political theater, or will real action be taken? Too often, others have escaped accountability.

If Swalwell’s fate is to retreat into a private club and a cache of booze, reportedly paid for by his abandoned gubernatorial campaign money, the future birthrate will be lower than the current one.

More women who are intentional about their identities and the men they allow into their lives may likewise feel compelled to pray their husbands away.

We’re confronted with another tragic loss: a wife and mother has died while pursuing beauty ideals. She was drawn to perfection, shaped by unrealistic beauty standards that dominate social media and the music industry, which are nearly impossible to attain. Many influencers now embody exaggerated versions of themselves, chasing envy and attention, often at great personal cost.

Following this broader context, Alicia Stone, 40, a married mother of three, died after receiving a BBL in a Columbia facility. She was later rushed to a nearby hospital after being found unresponsive in her hotel room in Cali, reports state.

Reflecting on Stone’s career, I think back to my own detective aspirations—I didn’t want to fulfill the prerequisite of walking the beat. In contrast, Stone put in the work, serving 13 years in the NYPD’s Internal Affairs. That isn’t an easy feat, particularly in a male-dominated and racially charged environment. I know from first-hand experience.

This raises a pressing question at the heart of this issue: why do so many women take serious risks, especially traveling to other countries with potentially lower medical standards, in pursuit of appearances dictated by American beauty ideals?

Consider the context: while this trend is less prevalent now than a decade ago, it still remains the most dangerous cosmetic procedure available, with reports stating a mortality rate as high as 1 out of 3,000.

Critics who identify this crisis as a lack of self-love are supported by women who understand the risks, but still choose the overseas option for its cheaper costs.

Stone’s experience is, unfortunately, not unique—she is one of thousands whose situations have ended in death or botched results. As a 9-1-1 operator, I have answered a few emergency calls from women and men falling victim to the latter.

The cycle of these tragedies prompts reflection. I don’t know when emphasizing the part of the body from where bowels flow will ever not be a “thing.” But what I do know is that, whether we like to admit it or not, the Kardashians dictate the trends for all races of women. Therefore, my prediction is that when these reality stars ring the alarm that the big-butt craze has ended, then people will stop dying.

These presidents were all invited to the NAACP’s convention.

House Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (DFL), a political party in the U.S. state of Minnesota affiliated with the National Democratic Party, was shot and killed along with her husband in the early hours of Saturday, June 13th.

This shooting comes just days after the lawmaker voted against MinnesotaCare for undocumented migrants in the state.

The media is outraged. However, they appear to be the only ones who are.

We wonder why cultural icons like the rap group NWA, and Bonnie and Clyde, a couple who went on a killing spree, are revered all over the world.

NWA expressed that through their music, they wanted LAPD to feel the same anxiety and paranoia that they gave Black people. And 9 out of the 13 people Bonnie and Clyde murdered were law enforcement. The killing duo hated the police. They believed the police hated them— the downtrodden. Today, many Black and poor Americans share the same sentiment.

I worked for the police department, and my training manual states that if the community has a negative view of police officers, it’s the police department’s fault.

While our officers are needed and should be respected, they are often silent when one of their own decides to play Klansman with Black and poor people’s lives.

Perhaps that’s why the American people are silent now.

Joseph R. Biden left office on Monday, leaving his plummeting media to answer questions regarding his multiple pardons for his siblings hours before he left office.

The former president also had his liberal networks’ help in keeping his mental health a secret, along with downplaying how the American people were financially progressing under President Trump’s first administration, which a pundit later admitted on MSNBC’s Morning Joe.

Now, the falterring networks are left to serve its small audience answers for all the deceit and lies they may have told about Trump “stealing democracy,” which was a faithful hot topic for both networks, using the catch phrase in hopes of propelling Biden and then VP Kamala Harris to a White House win.

But Black people stayed home, and the few Black voters who voted for Donald Trump aided in the 47th president’s victory.

It should be noted that former President Biden did not pardon any of his liberal journalists or their networks who employ them.

In an interview with Joe Budden on the Joe Budden Podcast, rapper Nicki Minaj revealed that she was ashamed of not having a voluptuous backside like the girls the man who signed her, rapper Lil Wayne, would bring to the studios for visits. He would also tease her (I call it humiliation) about not having an ass.

The Pink Friday rapper eventually gave in and received cosmetic surgery for fuller buttocks. In the interview, she said, “I wish I had thought more of myself.” Minaj is one of the most transparent rappers in the industry. Her lyrics and language are outright filthy and offensive, yet her honesty about where her confidence was at that time were the most powerful words I’d ever heard her speak.

I have been harassed all of my life for not having a derriere. I’m a Black woman who had to grow into loving the way I look, and believe me, it took a great deal of reading, reflecting, and being alone.

Women are now taking pictures from the back when the camera is meant for the face. Black people now value the part of the body from where shit escapes more than they value a beautiful face and a healthy body.

But let’s be clear. You can be a White woman with no ass. The self-esteem of Black people is so low; no matter what White people look like, it’s perfectly fine with them.

So, here is what Lawton Lane News (LLN) believes is happening. Since different rules exist for Black and White women, I think the Black man wants Black women to look their worst. And we are witnessing Black women looking the worse we’ve ever looked—eyelashes that can double as fans, 10” nails, long shiny wigs, fake asses on top of the big one they already possessed.

If loved ones who we’ve lost 20 years ago could be resurrected and they saw what Black women look like today, they’d be horrified.

I used to blame Black men solely. However, they couldn’t have achieved this without the help of Black women.

Wake up!

After watching the 2008 film Taken, I concluded that Natalee Holloway, who went missing on May 30, 2005, was sex trafficked.

It's been years since I saw the film, but I recall the movie showing a couple of giggling girls being distracted by a corny white guy(s) who think they're ladies' men because the young women are making them (or him) feel that way.

Holloway's mother has never publicly blamed her teenager's girlfriends for "allowing" her daughter to go with the suspect, Joran van der Sloot, that night in Aruba. But I bet she wants to.

I wasn't there. However, I bet I know the language Van Der Sloot used: "Your friends are just jealous we want to talk to you and not them. They're 'hating' on you." That would be enough for women to release their friends into the evil clutches of a man.

We have to admit to and own the insecurities and low self-esteem that plague the female gender, or we're doomed.

Van Der Sloot taunted Holloway's mother with sexual favors she may or may not (I'm inclined to believe none of that took place) have done. I don't think Mrs. Holloway believed him, but if she allowed Van Der Sloot to muddy the image of her daughter in her mind, then shame on her. Firstly, women can do whatever the fuck they want with their bodies(I don't like the Megs, Sexxy Reds, and Ice Spices of rap, but they are attempting to destroy the judgment around women's sexuality). Secondly, she should know who the fuck she raised, and according to her, she raised a wonderful daughter, and I believe her.

If Holloway is alive, she may be no more reasonable to herself or her family. She has probably lived in a drug-induced state for years, her body physically and sexually ravished, her mind tormented and beaten down so severely that she may not even want to face her family and friends again.

Van Der Sloot was arrested in Chile in 2010 for killing Stephany Flores in a hotel room in Lima, Peru. He pleaded guilty to Flores' murder in 2012.
