They’re utterly useless, but they make a killing in their field. In NYC, they can rake in thousands of dollars a day just for turning a key in an apartment door, even after factoring in other costs. They are brokers. Aside from being outrageously expensive, racism is thrown into the mix.
A couple has reportedly hired an attorney after their broker inadvertently sent them a text message that was meant for the landlord that read, “Ugh, they are black.” For more on this story, click here.
